1. Speed
The best inkjet printer for your needs will be the one that prints fast enough to keep up with the rate at which you need it to print, and they often have variable speeds, so this is not as large of a concern as it may seem. You should look for printers that offer rates of 10 pages per minute or more, but also be aware that some printers just aren't meant to be used for printing images or graphics and will work better if you're using them in a different capacity, such as for printing business cards only.
2. Cost
If you're looking to get a good value, you'll want to keep the cost of each unit you look at in mind and not be led astray by other features or add-ons that may seem like they'll make your life easier but will instead wind up causing you headaches and other problems. If a printer is much more expensive than others on the market, yet it offers no extra features or printing quality that will keep up with what you need, it may be best to pass so that you can find something else that will work for your needs rather than just looking at price.
3. Size
While it's great that you are getting the unit that can be an all-in-one for printing and scanning, you have to think about the size of your workspace and how much room you'll have for it. You may be able to find some great deals on units that can extend to a certain length but make sure that when you look at the dimensions of what you're looking at is going to be truly large enough so you won't wind up taking up more space than needed.
1. Which inkjet printer is the best?
An inkjet printer that prints borderless, glossy, and frosted images is required. I believe that an Epson Stylus Pro 3880 would be an excellent choice (I have one and it is amazing - worth every penny). In addition, an Epson 7800 is an excellent choice (much cheaper).
2. What kind of printer should I purchase?
A borderless printer that prints glossy or frosted directly from your computer is required. Above, I mentioned two types of printers. You might also want to look into HP. There will be some new printers available that will print with Cricut cartridges! I also use an HP Photosmart 7760 to scan photos for printing with my Cricut.
3. How can I locate photo editing software?
If you don't already have photo editing software, there are plenty of free options available. You can also buy Adobe Photoshop Elements 11, which comes with a 30-day trial and is sufficient for your Cricut projects or can be used with other applications.
