Yanatha Desouvre, as he aspires to inspire, believes there is endless potential in everyone with pursuing their dreams and accomplishing their goals in life. Yanatha has written six books and so far published three books of inspirational short stories and poetry entitled “Walk Through this Journey: Volume One. “Walk Through this Journey: Volume Two (The Next Step Forward)”, and “A Family Affair, ” available now through www.authorhouse.com, www.amazon.com, www.barnesandnobles.com, Yanatha Desouvre released the audio book version of “Walk Through this Journey: Volume One” now available through iTunes and much more. Desouvre’s most recent book 1st children book Big Sister, Little Sister was a #1 bestseller on Amazon.com

Desouvre was recently featured on WURD Summer of Reading Your in 2013. Desouvre performed at the World Cafe Live in Saul Williams “Chorus” Spoken Word World Tour Sep 2012. His theme of “Positively Impacting Your Life by Empowering Others” was the core message in his National Poetry Month Workshop tour at The West Palm Beach, Delray Beach and Boynton Beach City Libraries in the month of April 2011 and hosted the Poet Cafe workshop for the West Palm Beach Library community to participate in the end of the Adult Summer Reading Program. In the past few years he’s been hand selected to perform at three major Spoken Word Poetry Showcases that featured the best Spoken Word Poets of Florida. Participate in 10th Annual Delray Beach Public Library Local Author showcase. Panel member in 2009 for “The Pursuit of Happiness and Exploration” inaugurating Delray Beach Public Library Lifelong Learning Center alongside Dr. Robert Watson, Frank Cerabino of the Palm Beach Post hosted by Ann Bocock of WXEL an NPR affiliate. He’s also the co-executive producer of the album that successfully blends hip-hop, rock, r&b, soul and the art of spoken word poetry entitled “JuSill Presents: Street Poetry hosted by Cierra “The Midday” Goddess” available through the Apple iTunes store.

Desouvre was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and grew up in Brooklyn and Philadelphia. He currently resides in Philadelphia, PA. He received Bachelor’s Degree at Drexel University in 2001 and completed his MBA at Lynn University June 2010. In addition to his constant writing Desouvre is has created several successful mobile apps for iOS devices such as the iPad, iPhone and iPod touches app and Android devices.
