Wild River Review art by Christopher McCauley

Those trains
that departed at dawn
and those
that arrived at midnight
never made stops
and so did not find
the recipient of my heart
and it stayed with the unclaimed
travelling on the train
bumming in the railroad cars
in love with the key — keepers.
